These paper-minis should be seen as an unofficial demo of Wizards of the Coasts fine series of miniatures. If you like using them, buy the the real deal and support both D&D and your local gaming shop. Paper-minis are NOT DCI tournament legal and will probably get you kicked out of any gaming shop (that or laughed out). Paper-minis may piss off your friends as well, who would probably prefer that you spend as much money on your collection of D&D minis as they have. Paper-minis are only meant for private use. Use at your own risk. With that out of the way, here's the benefits of using paper-minis: * They're Cheap! You only need a printer and some paper and your choice of either tape, glue, and/or paper clips. Plus if the dog chews it up, you can just print another. * They're disposable! Suppose you need a creature for a one-time encounter for your D&D campaign and you can't find the creature you're looking for at any of the gaming shops. * Demo warbands! You have a sweet-ass warband group you want to try out before a real game, try out your group with paper-minis before picking up the figs at your local gaming shop. * Backup! Use as a backup piece if you're proud of your collection and don't want to risk damaging or losing a rare miniature from your set. *Notes: - All figures should already be to the correct scale, Large creatures are about 2'x2', medium creatures are 1'x1', and small creatures are .75'x.75', you shouldn't need to Print to scale or anything like that, just Print to Actual Size. All you need to do is Print and cut. - The instructions also depict the figures without their stats , but the stats portion will be on the bottom portion, where that blank space is. That's because I made up the instructions before coming up with the idea to put in stats and I'm just too lazy to rephotograph everything. meh. - In Desert of Desolation, I included a Large and a Medium size Angel of Vengeance b/c I'm a little unsure about the size. I believe the card says its a medium creature, but the size of the pedestal suggests that this should be a large creature, and I can't say I've ever seen a real one. I'm sure you'll figure it out. - For some of the Huge sized creatures you won't be able to put them together in the standard fashion and will need to probably work with two seperate sheets and just paste them together back to back. You'll want to take care when lining these up. - The new Players Heroes paper-minis do not include any stats because Wizards has not posted any official skirmish stats for these figures. DDM Guild, the new 3rd party group responsible for making skirmish stats, did release stats for this set, but there are some inconsistencies that make me think they'll need to do an update, so I'll just wait til that happens before putting those stats on there (but you can find them in the stat cards folder anyways).
